This is a list of work-related books. I provide a summary for each but for some you can view notes. The latter is a work-in-progress 🙃.
Provides a nice framework to use when building out / revamping your on-boarding experience. It also includes many references to additional materials.
A great way to build products. While I'm still trying to work it into my process, there were a ton of ah ha moments I've struggled with in the past. Really felt like a breath of fresh air.
It's loaded with techniques and strategies to build the right products. However, I found it a bit overwhelming. Looking to read it again to better understand and connect it all.
Enjoyed Jeff's views on building software, building out the right culture, and the journey his team at Twilio went through over the years.
This book flips the script on the sales process. I loved it. After learning about JTBD, getting to learn how that methodology is applied when building out a sales pipeline made things a lot more clear.
Good introduction into the 'jobs to be done' theory. At times though I had difficulty in connecting the content to specific examples in my work experience. Luckily some of the other books I've highlighted here have filled the gaps.
Beginning was valuable as the author broke down definitions and principles and applied them to real world examples. I became a little lost in the second half on solving design problems mathematically.
Liked the six principles they presented and they provided some quality examples throughout to tie it all together.
Was a great introduction into the basics of investing. I was looking to uplevel my understanding and not become an expert, this book did just that.
Lots of great examples of the good and bad ways we've designed interfaces and the impact it has. I should note, not all examples were of the same quality and felt like the author was going for quantity over quality at times.
